MEETINGS and COVID-19:
The City of KCMO mask mandate for meetings is no longer in effect. You may still wear a mask if you like. We will also continue to Zoom the meeting to those members that don't feel comfortable at an in-person meeting or just can't attend the meeting in person. The Zoom details will be emailed to members the week before the meeting.
June 12 Regular Meeting: Mike Erickson will show how he makes turned wooden angels. June 12th Challenge: Make a comfortable handle for something. An example is a file handle.
FUTURE MEETING DEMOS: July 10th Regular Meeting: KCWT Members are the demonstration. Members please show something that you made that could be copied and sold at the KC Irish Fest event for less than $50.

UPCOMING EVENTS: June 17th (Sat)
10:00am-whenever Annual Picnic at Shawnee Mission Park shelter house #6: Your club will provide hamburgers and hot dogs and all the fixins, including plates and napkins. Members bring their drinks and something to share, like finger food, salad or dessert. The park does not allow alcohol. We will most certainly talk woodturning and catch up with each other. 10:00am-12:00pm Clubhouse Lathe Room Cleanup: Will start cleaning at 10:00am. Volunteers requested. No turning until the room is clean. Turning will resume when finished. Cleaning usually takes 2 hours or less. September 1st thru 3rd (Fri,Sat,Sun) 10:00am-9:00pm KC Irish Fest 2023 at Crown Center: Your club plans all year for this event. We set up our tent early Friday and volunteers man the tent all weekend. It is great fun and we have the very best tent location. Volunteers pick a time slot to help sell donated items or turn things to entertain the crowds. Members that sign up in advance get in free. You can bring your own items to sell and the club takes a cut of the profits. The food is delicious. The beer and whisky is wonderful. The music is amazing. There will be signup sheet available prior to the Irish Fest event. November 11th (Sat)
