BENEFITS OF JOINING
There are many benefits to becoming a member of our organization.
Gain and share knowledge. We are an informal group and we have a great time when we get together. Of course we also have a common interest, Woodturning, and we encourage you to share your skills and knowledge with us and we will do the same. Visit one of our monthly meetings (we meet the 2nd Monday of each month) and find out what we are all about.
Learn how to use a lathe and turn wood. And spin it and cut it and make beautiful things out of wood. We own 12 lathes of different sizes and manufactures and have open turning sessions on every Saturday morning from 8:30 am until noon, every Wednesday evening (except the 3rd Wednesday) from 5:30pm to 9:00pm, and every Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Experienced members are usually on hand to answer questions and offer help.
Save money with our Sponsors. By being a member you get a 10% discount from Woodcraft in Lenexa, KS, Schutte Lumber in Kansas City, MO. and Metro Hardwoods in Independence, MO.
See how the experts do it! We are committed for 2020 to having nationally known Woodturners in to demonstrate for us. We will attempt to have one as often as scheduling permits. There will be a modest fee for these programs. Members and non-members are welcome to attend.
We meet on the 2nd Monday of each month @7:00 at:
